The ball screw assembly consists of a screw and a nut, each with matching helical grooves The balls roll between these grooves providing contact between the nut and the screw. These re-circulating bearings allow the unit to operate at an extremely high rate of efficiency with excellent static and dynamic load ratings.
Rockford Ballscrew stocks 56 ball screw models in a variety of materials and designs including high and low carbon alloy steels and various grades of stainless steel available in standard and metric sizes.
Rockford Ball Screw offers one of the most complete lines of standard bearing mounts in the industry. Mounts can be shipped loose for customer installation or preassembled to the screw at our factory. If shipped loose, please note that the bearings have an interference fit to the shaft and that installation procedures in accordance with those recommended by rolling element bearing manufacturers need to be implemented.
