Westinghouse Heavy Industrial Motor Division was formed in 1975 in Round Rock, TX out of the Westinghouse Large Rotating Apparatus Division. A joint venture was formed In 1988 with TECO Electric & Machinery Co. of Taiwan. In1995, TECO Electric & Machinery bought Westinghouse Heavy Industrial Motor Division, forming TECO-Westinghouse Motor Company.
